Twitter on iPhone app is down
This morning (Sep 2nd) I got an email from Twitter announcing that they will be introducing changes over the next two weeks - starting by phasing out the authentication method that the iPhone app uses on August 31st. That was 2 days ago. I am working 24/7 to read up on the new authentication method and hope to have an update tested and submitted to Apple by the end of Labor Day weekend. Tim

Share your activities on Twitter
In addition to sharing your activities on facebook you can now share them with the people that follow you on twitter. We have added a link which will automatically take you to the twitter home page and put information about your activity in the status box. You will still have to click "Update" and you have the option to change the information before submitting the update. You can also find LogYourRun on twitter.

Garmin Connect Import
The new series of Garmin Forerunner watches (50 and 405) as well as the new Garmin Edge cycle computers (605 and 705) can be setup to automatically transfer your activity data to your computer and from there automatically upload the data to Garmin Connect. To make it easy to import the data from Garmin Connect we have created an import function. This function requires that the activity is made public and involves copying the numeric part of the URL from the Garmin Connect website. The function will automatically import the type of activity, date, distance, time, calories, and heart rate data if present. In addition a link to the route is preserved so you can always go to the Garmin Connect site to take a closer view of your data.

Google integration
To make it easier for you to access your LogYourRun account we have created a couple of google gadgets that you can add to your google homepage.

The Enter Data Google Gadget allows you to enter your running data straight from your google home page.

The Week View Google Gadget will let you see your running data week by week and if you are signed up for a training training program you can see what is coming up.

If you like these modules and would like to put them on your own web page - all you have to do is copy and paste 3 lines of code.

Google toolbar now offers custom buttons for both Firefox and Internet Explorer. With the LogYourRun Google Toolbar button you can enter data straight from your web browser.
